Animal Shelters and Rescue Groups

All animal shelters and rescue groups that list on Wagaroo are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that are well-known for their compassionate animal care and for excellent customer service. Each adoptable puppy/dog has a photo and personality profile on wagaroo.com. In addition to personality information, the puppy/dog's profile description also contains contact information where you can find out how to adopt that puppy/dog. You can also indicate your interest in learning more about any adoptable puppy/dog from an animal shelter or rescue group here

Responsible Breeders

If you are looking for a purebred puppy of any breed, Wagaroo will work with you individually to refer you to a responsible breeder. Wagaroo will only refer you to a high quality breeder that meets Wagaroo's breeder criteria. We never work with puppy brokers, pet stores, online puppy sellers, or puppy mills. Breeders never pay Wagaroo for referrals. Our only goal is to help you identify responsible breeders so that you can find the perfect pup for your home. If you are interested in learning more about how to buy a puppy from a breeder, please contact us here

Family2Family Program (Owner Rehoming)

Owners in our Family2Family program need to find new loving homes for their dogs. This can happen due to a variety of reasons, such as a death in the family, financial challenges or having to move. We are committed to helping these caring owners find a new family for their dog and keep him/her out of the animal shelter. Each adoptable puppy/dog in the rehoming program has a photo and personality profile on wagaroo.com.  If you are interested dogs from our Family2Family program, the first step is to fill out this quick questionnaire.  This way we can pass more detailed information on to owners about families that are interested in adopting their dogs.

Owners always decide who will adopt their pet. Wagaroo makes the introduction between owners in our Family2Family program and individuals/families that are interested in adopting their dog. The rest is up to the owner.

Owners in Wagaroo’s Family2Family program agree not to accept any money for their dog. Instead, once the owner selects a new family for their dog, they may ask that new family to pay an adoption fee through Wagaroo. This fee goes back  that goes back to serving future dogs in need.  For more information about this process, please visit our FAQ page.

Let the Wagaroo Community Help You Find Your New Dog

Wagaroo currently lists profiles for dogs who need homes. We are considering adding prospective owner profiles: short descriptions and photos of people who are looking for dogs. These profiles would allow members of the Wagaroo shelter, rescue, and breeder community to contact prospective owners who are looking for the type of dog that shelter/rescue/breeder has available. For example, if your profile says that you are interested in a young Jack Russell Terrier that is good with other dogs, you could receive an email from a local rescue to let you know they have an 8 month old male Jack Russell Terrier available for adoption.

Would you be interested in creating a prospective owner profile if we offer it in the future? Do you have any comments or suggestions for us on this feature?  If so, click here to let us know.

Thank you for visiting Wagaroo! We're excited to help you find the perfect new puppy or dog for your family!
